Destination weddings can be a great time away from it all for you and your guests. To keep everyone informed on what’s going on during the wedding day consider sending a custom “day of” timeline for guests so that everyone knows the schedule. This summer we worked with a couple in NY to design a custom wedding invitation set for them. They wanted a bold, typography heavy design using black and white and the blue heart they had used on their save the dates. The set includes an invite, rsvp postcard, and reception card. They finished them off by wrapping the pieces in a belly band made of newsprint. And they sent me a photo! Thanks again guys!!

This summer we’ve partnered with Wedding 101 and some of their other preferred vendors to put together two fabulously themed weddings. The first was a rock n’ roll theme and our vinyl record wedding invitation and paper goods were featured. The second was a DIY outdoor picnic style wedding featuring our mason jar invitation was featured. Both invitations are available in our Etsy store. One of our newest designs features a mason jar theme. It’s a great option for outdoor, picnic, ranch, or just plain fun weddings. It can easily use a variet of colors for weddings with a larger palette, and is fully customizable. I’ve paired it here with some other fabulous pieces from the Etsy Wedding Team. This is a great time of year to start thinking about save the dates if your wedding is coming up next spring or summer. It’s also the perfect time to get creative and do something bright, fun, and full of personality. Even if you plan on doing something more traditional for you formal invitations.

Any of our invitation designs can be used as a save the date, or we can work up a custom design just for you. Since the save the date is often the first of many paper goods used in preparation for, or at, your wedding, it is also the perfect time to start a theme (as in the last image). Gray is a great neutral color. It’s lighter than black or brown, and pairs well with so many colors. Lately we’ve seen an upswing in the use of this fresh green color. It’s perfect for a spring, summer, or even fall wedding. The Etsy Wedding Team has some fabulous items to pair together.

Weddings are not one size fits all. It’s YOUR wedding after all, and sometimes it can be difficult to find a stationery design that fits both of your personalities. We love working with couples to come up with something truly creative for their special day. Below are a couple of recent designs we’ve put together.

Kate and Dave are a fabulously fun couple from the north east. They wanted to incorporate their colors (pink and orange), a squirrel wearing a veil, and a monocle/top hat wearing platypus. The final result is this bright, whimsical postcard design.

Alisa and Michael have spent the majority of their relationship a world apart. We used both the text and imagery to incorporate their long distance relationship into their wedding stationery.

Black and white has always been, and probably always will be, a popular wedding color scheme. It’s timeless, classy, and makes it easy to “match” all of your various wedding pieces. Red is, and probably always will be, a classic color for weddings. It pairs so nicely with other colors – aqua, orange, and other reds being my favorites, and is a great choice for any season. So whether it’s holly or daisies, if you search etsy for “etsyweddingteam read” you’re sure to find dozens of pieces sure to work for your wedding day.
