Since moving to Nashville we have had the opportunity to meet some fantastic wedding vendors. Recently, Meredith Zeller of Bridal Blueprints (and etsy’s ZellerZazzles) contacted me to design some signs for a couple of showers and weddings that she was planning. Of course we said yes!! She also partnered with Ulmer Studios to take the photographs below. For more photos visit Meredith’s blog…here’s her write up about the event:
This shower was inspired by one of my brides who is on a tight budget for her wedding. We have been getting creative in every way possible, especially when it comes to the budget. Rather than just registering for the typical china, towels and mixer, I thought it would be a good idea to set up a registry with the bride’s photographer so that guests could contribute gift cards towards the photographer’s fee. Running with the photography idea, I designed her shower around a black and white photography theme.

How long have you been in the wedding business: I’ve been in the wedding business since 2006 as a planner. I also have a wedding/event planning business called ‘Bridal Blueprints’. It was just this past year that I decided to try to make a living out of my craftiness.
Describe your style: A little bit of everything. Having been a wedding planner for so long I’ve had the opportunity to design weddings of a variety of styles. I’ve basically adopted a little bit of vintage, traditional, shabby chic, rustic…I’m a mixing bowl of styles!
What is something that few people know about you? I was on a reallllly cheesy acting reality show a few years ago – before I realized I can’t act and I’m a much better host. I freelance doing some TV hosting.
Do you have any advice to offer engaged couples or those planning a special event? Hire a planner – I know that’s a fairly obvious answer, coming from an event planner. However, an event planner typically pays for themselves with the vendor negotiations they are able to work out. A planner will save you time, money and a LOT of stress!
